I am a devoted follower of contemplative or silent, meditative prayer. This type of prayer is based on letting God to "talk" to you in silence. I practice my prayer twice a day in a very simple place, a lone chair. My drawing expresses my prayer place: a simple chair being immersed by God's presence and all encompassing grace. The yellow expresses the power of life, sunlight. The red expresses the power, glory, and grace of God.
I would not label this a religious painting as it prescribes to no particular religion. I rather see it as an inherent view of my prayer place in a spiritual manner.
The image is based on a colored pencil drawing that I did to portray my mind's image. After importing this image into Adobe Photoshop, I was able to take it to a higher place which truly reflected my mental image.
